Fremont Garage is a food cart pod and bar on the corner of NE Fremont Street and 44th Avenue—built on the longtime home of Barrett Automotive. The name “Fremont Garage” is a nod to the site’s automotive roots, honoring the history of the neighborhood while reimagining the space as a place to gather, eat, and linger.

Located in the heart of the Beaumont neighborhood, Fremont Garage is designed to be a true community hub. The project brings together a curated mix of food carts, a full bar, and outdoor seating in a space that feels welcoming, casual, and unmistakably Portland. The site features a mix of open-air and covered areas, transforming an 8,000-square-foot lot into a lively destination for locals and visitors alike.

The project is led by local developer DBS Group. Fremont Garage opened Memorial Day Weekend of 2026 and is open daily, offering consistent food and beverage service year-round. Neighborhood events are planned for the future, with details to be announced.
